I think I like Elda ("Eruda") more than Freya (I don't see anyone
calling her "Hureya"?) You have to remember that although Chii is Elda
but w/ her memories. Therefore we know very little of Freya since she's only
really shown helping her sister Freya (and also in what few vids Chitose shows
us.) Freya fell in love with her father and couldn't understand why it was not
ment to be, so she shut herself down? Persocom suicide if you will. Elda, in
caring for her sister and not wanting her to selfishly shut down took her
memories and conscious within' herself. And then, by her choice, had her mom
erase her memories so maybe Elda would find a love just her own and helping
Freya (now inside her) be happy too. Freya selfishly offed herself without
caring how her family felt while Elda simply wanted her, and herself, to be
happy in the end.
It reminds me of what was done to CardCaptor Sakura... trying to make it a
little boys show and all? wtf?!
I hate that they censored it. It ruins it really. They could have just done
what's (thankfully) done with most 18+ manga at the stores now and had it shrink
wrapped closed. That way people at the counter could check their ages and not
allow such manga to go to under-aged childen.
It was just one of the many great series ruined by the translated distributors
:'(
In Fatal Frame II (2) Which ghost do you find to be the creepiest?
I think the creepiest ghost to fight for me was probably the broken neck woman.
Constantly with the falling and screaming! And you never knew where she would
land... UGH! Also the ghost towards the end (I forget his name?) where
if he touched you ONCE you died.... I hated that aprt more so than it being
scary though
Tales of Destiny is by far one of my favorite games! it's
SO MUCH fun to play... I do want to say though the one with Reid, Farah and
Meredy was originally "Tales of Eternia" in Japan... Tales of Destiny
2 revolves around Stahn's sons a
great game I wish they would have brought over! The whole "Tales
of..." series of games rock so hard :O
Magenta RZR :B
favorite color in the WORLD and it fits so great into my pocket!
Though I don't recommend it anyone. RZRs have been known to be buggy and it's a
hit n' miss on if you get a good on or not. Also the reception kinda sucks
because the antena is in the bottom part of the phone and the battery dies after
about a day and a half for me @_@;;;
Quote by SeitoYeah Mokona! I think I rather
have the Tsubasa version of Mokona. Or Modoki from XXXHolic. I think it's cool
that they can talk verse in Magic Knight Rayearth where Mokona can only say
"Puu!" (but that's cute too. :P)
yeah I ment the Tsubasa version of Mokona I love
how he talks and his eyes get all big and scary, lol. even though saying
"Puu!" was super cute.. he could still say it in Tsubasa I'm sure
:P
I think parents need to stop relying on the FCC and the like to regulate what
their children can and cannot veiw. While some parents don't care others may not
want their children to veiw even a bloody nose (sad.) But I think if you cut the
realistic blood and gore out of shows THATs what can cause problems. Children
will not realize that when you cut someone they bleed. They'll think it's like
the fantasy world of Tom and Jerry where you can chop these animals in half but
by the time the next show comes around everyone is OK.
It's not right to deny the truth to the children. I know it seems akward and
some may say that kids can't handle such things. Or it's scare tactics? Maybe.
But it's better to edjucate your kids on things that would happen.
But I also think that anime is best shown late at night when the youngin's are
[generally] asleep.
It's also a bit deciving in edditing anime for TV. What if you fall in love with
the series and you go to buy it for you, or a gift for a younger
friend/realitive, and you find out that all the eddited scenes have no been
taken out. Shock to you! I've also noticed that shows as a whole are better
generally w/ those edited scenes.
I will say, arguably though, that some anime has been edited very well. I take
into account Tenchi Muyo!, It's one of my favorite series of all time and when
they aired it on TV I believe they did a great job of taking out the naughty
bits. The girls were put into swimsuits for the hotspring scenes (which there
were a TON of and would have taken away generall about 1-2 hours of total
showtime.) Also they snipped out a few scenes here and there they found
unsuitable for TV. Such as teh time Ryoko *ahem* gropes Tenchi. You couldn't
tell it was suppose to be there, and you didn't miss anything from the plot.. so
it was a scene they could take out.
I may sounds contradicting in some ways but what I'm trying to say is NO, anime
should not be edited. It's already at a TV veiwable level since they can show it
on PRIMETIME TV in Japan. However I think when airing on TV in america the shows
should be minimalisticly edited and if not should be showed at a time where kids
won't stumble upon it. And as a note I do now they have an anime channel now but
not everyone can afford it.
I also have much to add in othr terms but I'll make them short.. name changes
disgust me. It's "Sah-koo-rah" NOT "suh-cure-uh". Also
changes from Usagi.. to Serena.. ugh ("Serena" is suppose to be short
for serenity.) I would have accepted it if they even did as they decided to do
in the Manga and just say "Bunny" was her nickname but they continue
to call her that throught the whole series.
Otaku is such an ugly word
please.. no one refer to yourself as an "otaku".

Also aftre reading this I HIGHLY disagree with it. I have met many-a-hawt
anime/manga fans and I personally have no problem getting dates, lol
This person needs to rework their article, I find too many faults in it.
I've been to Japan and have hosted 2 exchange students I've
also taken Japanese for 5 years and am a cosplay/con goer so
yeah, I am now a Japan addict because of anime. Oh and I also eat sushi/Japanese
food at least once a month (sometimes I order Tempura, Udon, or Curry at
times.)
Japanese culture is awesome! And America really has no "culture" so
I've easily taken a liking to Japan's culture
As far as anime character designs go I have to say I have fallen in love with
Tsubasa. The animation just flows so well and they all have really cutes
outfits. Also I really think that the style they chose suits Sakura, Syaoran,
Chii and every other character from their other series. Theres so many more that
stand out in my mind but Tsubasa really takes the cake, heh.
So what anime do YOU think has the best, or your favorite, character designs?
My mom has come to accept it and kind of likes some of the characters. And I've
gotten TONS of friends into it but
when my Japanese friends come over I feel akward because of my posters and
figures.
I guess they see it as more of a childish thing but oh well. I rather be into
anime and it's amazing animation/style than some crummy cartoon like tom and
jerry :P
I actually remember this... my host mother would make me toast every morning
before school. I thought it was because grains is one of the things you need to
include the most in your diet. It was also really easy to take with me if I was
late for school or needed to be there early. And it was quick and easy to
make!
I think in anime it's just generally suppose to show that the person is in a
great hurry and hardly has enough time to get to school let alone eat.
hmmm DearS.
Granted it's a lot like Chobits (guy finds strange girl, etc.) But there's
things to it that just makes it better in my opinion. For one Takuya hates the
DearS and the hype about them. And another great point is that Ren, unlike Chii
(granted I LOVE Chii and Chobits in general) wasn't super powerful.. she was
defective. That point also made the fact of why she kept messing up a lot more
realistic. She had defective programming in her so didn't understand much of
what was going on, Takuya had to teach her.
The only thing I don't like about it is Ren's hair... sort in some places..
super long in others? weird.
I agree with what darkbat said about how the show is usualy based off the manga.
I like reading the mangas more so for many reasons... they're a lot more
portable! You can read them while traveling, color them if you want @_@ (I've
done it to a free sampler book I've gotten before, rofl) and they don't have so
many FILLERS.
I also ave a lot of respect for the mangaka teams or single person who works on
their books. Anime is mostly made on computers these days and so it's just
become so easy to just whip out shows. Mangas are hand drawn works of art. In
some I've seen each page's detailings were just amazingly placed and you can
really tell someone put love and time into it.
So I would have to say about 99% of the time I prefer the manga.
She not exactly anime.. but Yuna from Final Fantasy X/X-2. I've been told her
and I are a lot alike (hah!) and I guess we look similar... but I find myself to
be Aerith moreso (FF7)
and so this doesn't go totally too off topic... a mix of Ami from Sailor Moon
and Usagi would be around me. Usagi minus the ditziness, haha
Perfect Blue... for the fact that you have to watch it abut 5 times before you
really understand how it jumps around. I liked the movie overall and the
animation wasn't bad at all (the music was also really catchy! Even in english!
SUPRISE! LOL) But it was just.. yikes.
I also think... hmm.. Usagi Chan de Que. I hope I didn't butcher that... granted
the idea of a girl merging with a rabbit and getting super powers could be kinda
cool... it was just a little too out there for me to really get into it.
I've been going to SakuraCon and KumoriCon as much as I possibly can... been
going for about 4 years now (yikes it's been that long?!)
I hope to go to AX this year too!
They can be so much fun! Just randomly talking with other fans about your
favorite series and making friends there is awesome. Almost everyone is so
easygoing and ncie too they
really are a lot of fun.
I want to cosplay Sakura from Tsubasa so baaadd! I love all her costumes but
they would be so expensive! D: so much fabric! yikes!
someday though... someday. ;
I think I like Elda ("Eruda") more than Freya (I don't see anyone calling her "Hureya"?) You have to remember that although Chii is Elda but w/ her memories. Mokona love!
I guess Pokemon can be mascots too, lol. I think I would want Mokona or Luna from Sailor Moon. I just always liked those two so much.

I've cosplayed
as
many things actually. Chii fromChobits, Sailor Moon, Gunner Yuna... etc
etc.
I lvoe it and enjoy it so much! But my list of the things I want to make seems a bit unrealistic, lol

why with the Narutardation D:!
I rather pick up the manga.
and even then the anime seems too unreal.. I mean COME ON! SASUKE AND NARUTO ARE SUPPOSE TO BE 12?! that is just too unreal!
My mom has come to accept it and kind of likes some of the characters. And I've gotten TONS of friends into it

*squee!* I love all his series! Galaxy Express 999 was one of the first anime I EVER got into and I still love it imensly!
And Captain Harlock is hawt, lol
hmmm DearS.

GUNDAM GUNDAM GUNDAM.
Also Naruto and FF7 Advent Children.
Also DragonBall Z... that stuff was insane..
"OH NO THE WORLD IS GOING TO BLOW UP IN 2 MINUTES!"
*five episodes later*
"ONLY ONE MINUTE LEFT!"
what the heck?!
I agree with what darkbat said about how the show is usualy based off the manga. I like reading the mangas more so for many reasons... they're a lot more portable! I generally switch between this one and a Chobits one I have.
